Rebuilding an engine

How do i rebuild an engine? is it just resealing it?
sorry for the newbie question : someone let me know please, i need to know how, and what all ill need to i can order it when i order my parts from amain.

Rebuilding consists of replacing the piston and sleeve, bearings if needed, and doing the break in again.

Depending on the engine it is usually better to just buy a whole new one.
Carbs need O-rings replaced as well. It really can add up quick.

its just my trx 2.5,
should i keep it?

you can find, 2.5R and 3.3 engines for cheap on the bay. or send it into traxxas for an upgrade to a 2.5R or a 3.3 for not to bad a deal. check it out on the traxxas website under engine replacement program
