ok at one time i saw an article w/pictures and illustrations on how to rebuild a motor. anyone have a clue where that is? in the midst of pulling the back plate off of my os .21, i realized i have rust on the inside of the crank. should i rebuild it and put in a new crank, or what? this will be my first time to build one. any help will be appreciated.

Here you go. This is an article from RC Nitro. Rebuilding an engine is very easy. Just take your time and make sure you have a proper fit for everything so you don't have any air leaks.

imnotsure - rebuilding an engine is actually quite easy. The best info i can give u is to take a look at the new RCnitro magazine. This issue they have a 4 page article, explaining step by step on how to rebuild an engine. i think they actually use a .21 os rg as an example. perfect! its the one with the serpent 705 on the cover. here is another link to an article from a while ago on how to rebuild an engine. its a lil old, but still great information.
this is the link: http://www.rcnitro.com/rn/articles/ht_rebuild.asp

hope that helps!

yea i got it the only part i had trouble on was trying to get the pin out of the piston. but other than that now all i have to do is order my new parts.

the OS .21 RZ and RG are pretty popular, u should be able to get a piston/sleeve at your LHS, did u call them? I know mine carries them in stock
