does anyone know of a dogbone that would fit a 4909 i have one here which is shorter than the hpi one used in the 4907 mod but i dont know where to look for a new one as the one i found is getting a bit long in the tooth

The 4909 and 4910 use a 70mm (center of pin to pin) dog bone for the rear center. I use the UE titanium 70mm bone, but they are a rare item.
Another option is to swap the input diff pinion in the stock rear differential with a Revo center differential pinion which has a much longer pinion shaft and cut the shaft to fit the shorter dog bones in the 60/65mm length range. Once cut to fit, you then shim between the back of the drive cup mounted on the diff and the front diff bearing to keep the pinion from applying pressure to the ring gear.

thanks for the info snook man,the one i got here is a wierd one the dogbone looks like it has twisted ??,if you look at it the pins are not in line but rather at 90 deg. of each other if that makes sense
i gto this shaft from a roller i bought awhile so i got no idea where its from but its not titanium just plain black steel
