Rear diff gone???

hey there,

Well I took my savage x for some jumps and after just a few small ones I noticed that just my front tires were pulling, so I took a look at it and yeah my rear tires spin if I move them by hand. I put the truck down and give it another spin and the same just my front tires are spinning when I accelerate so did i strip the rear differential in the jumps? maybe it was loose or something? I haven't disassemble the truck yet, waiting for engine to cool down, any suggestions?

Check to see if the screw on either end of the driveshaft has fallen out. Mine did the same thing the other day. I thought I had stripped the rear diff too until I noticed the screw was missing out of the front of the rear driveshaft.

Order some blue loctite while you're at it.

Yep, had that happen 3 or 4 times, first time i actually did snap teeth off the rear diff, upgraded to the bullet proofs and then lost at least 2 other set screws! ha ha

+1 on the bulletproof diffs! An almost required upgrade. Good call on the blue loctite too!
