Well, I've been playing with it for a couple of weeks now and have to say I'm impressed. I didn't realize how real the scenery would look, or the ease of editing would be. I have played with just about everything on the menu of aircraft, why is it that I do much better with sport planes than trainer planes? I can handle the YAK 54 pretty well for a beginner and I really like the .30 size trainer heli. I would highly recomend this sim to anyone in the market for one.

Now if I could only get some cash for my endorsement. lol:yes:

I'm glad to hear you're enjoying it. It's a great way to unwind and take up 100% of your concentration, while cruising through the beautiful scenery from a chase plane perspective.
You can spend an hour trying to hover 6 inches off the ground in the exact same spot, and think you were only at it for 10 minutes.
Excellent physics and super graphics.

What do you mean by a "chase plane perspective"? I haven't tried any other camera angles yet, is that what you mean?

That's what it is. Camera angle. Hitting + or - will also adjust your distance from the plane. It's a great way to look around the different flying fields, or just do something different. You also have the option of 'pilots view' where it's just you out there. No plane to be seen.

I had one of the early versions. Loved it.
For some reason I could fly the sport planes a lot better. Trainer seemed like it reacted slower to the input I was giving it.
I would still fly it for the challenge. Helped me out a lot.

Are you getting into fixed wing or helicopters?

I got it for the helis but find myself playing with the planes more than anything. I can get them down in one piece, but getting on the runway is another story.

Look into fixed wing to start with. Not trying to push you away from heli's, but they are easier. Not as much money either.

Ya, I noticed the price difference, and with the sim, the skill required. I will most likely have to put off purchasing a plane till I know for sure if I am going to be deployed. (95% sure for now)
