I found out the reason why my savage was geting so hot. my temp gage was 50 degrese off . thank god! i took it back to my lhs and they exchanged it . so i ripped it up . and burned up my spur gear . break it fix it build it stronger faster . break it again! =devil

you probably stripped you're spur gear cuz of either a bad mesh or too tight of a slipper clutch setting.

Good thing you checked the temp guage. An inaccurate temp gauge is not unheard of.

Glad to hear that you are now ready to go out and break some more stuff. Spur gears are cheap to replace. You need to go after some big game like breaking a bulkhead or tweaking the chassis. Regardless, have fun.

Cool deal!... Not that you broke something but the fact that you found the problem. Now......I'm waiting for dry weather.

I could use the wet weather as an excuse to buy a nitro boat?....maybe?

i don't know what the name was. but it was bright pink. and oval and the size of a deck of cards. sorry i didn't look at lhe brand.:sorry:
