once aluminum skids bend they stay bent. you should get plastic ones such as rpm or theres some titanium ones that will rebound back and wont stay bent. aluminum ones are a bad idea

I have the RPM 3 peice skid setup they go over the top of the stock skid plates and I have beat the heck out of them with no problems...

I hadn't thought about aluminum bending and staying bent.....
But I just got this package from rcraven http://www.rcraveninc.com/product/TEPACKALLBR/TEMaxx_super_brushed_billet_aluminum_package_deal.html
They look cool installed, but I haven't gotten a chance to bash yet because of work, i'll find out how good they are starting tommorrow.

That looks like a cool set but remember if you are going to be out bashing around all that aluminum stuff is not going to look so prety after long, but if your going to have a shelf queen then go for it, imo...

After an afternoon of bashing the skids are very beat up. They are both bent up under the bumpers. But I figure it was still worth it, the rest of the parts all are in good shape. I would just be aware that the skids stick out past the bumpers and as such will bend very easily.
