i heard rcuniverse.com is not cool?what wrong with it?trust it?tell me pros and cons.since i shop there.
 
**This is my own opinion**
It is a huge forum and it has alot of infomation. I have only posted over thier a few times. One time one of my threads got deleted cause some old guy said "You kids shouldnt be treating those rc cars like that" then every one jumped on him and said it is hismoney. (TO me that is a stupid reson to delete a thread) I dont go over to RCU to often but when I do I just search. Also when I am over their I feel like I am in a jungle trying to escape all the ads they have.
 
most people think it is a bunch of noobs with superchargers on their smartechs. Although, there is a lot of information on that website. I personally, like searching on that website, because there are some good threads on there, Its not all noobs.
 
All I use that forum for is the For Sale/Trade stuff. And thats only if I REALLY can't find something. I bought a car and sold a car there. (sold my pretty stock xxx-nt to some noob for $270 shipped.... wow)

Id rather get kicked in the junk by a elf (member there pointy shoes?) than surf over there.. That site makes my eyes bleed.. And Red its 90% superchargers, Nos and smartechs.. My bad saying it was 100%..lol

Charylrox - I'm not understanding what you're wanting to hear. RCU is just like any other fourm. Just as Eddy already pointed out, you post where you feel comfortable at.

Yep, they all have their use, just some are better than others, post where you want. We ain't holding your hand on the mouse on where you click. :whip:
 
Just like anything you read. You have to trust yourself to research the info you find.

We make an effort to make sure the info here is good.
NEVER BELIEVE EVERYTHING YOU READ! Use it along with other research as a foundation to form your own opinions and views.
 
Run a search on the dudes name your thinking about buying from and just judge him for yourself. I'm not sure if they have a feedback forum or not, but run a search there as well if they do and see what ya find.

Some people here visit other forums, but this is the only forum for most of us.
If you feel the need to visit another forum, by all means do so. Some of our members do that, and thats fine.
But I don't think it's right to ask about another forum here.
I might be off base or in a bad mood today, but this doesn't sit right with me.

CHARLYROX - I think you won't have any problem trusting people there. You mentioned you go there to buy stuff and just like any other online buying/selling/trading just make sure the second party is trust worthy. Ask for references and ask other members about that person.

If you spend the time trying to protect yourself from getting ripped off then more times then not you won't have a problem, however if you just jump in on any "sounds to good to be true deal" then you're probably gonna get burned - even here too.

My only problem with RCU is the 5 million or so members! Damn, I post a thread and within 10 minutes its been knocked back 6 pages from everyone else posting, too many members.
 
i never go to thier forums i just go to buy stuff and look at the reviews.i didnt meant to get yall mad
 
No one is mad charly, I was just confused.
Memebers here do go to other sites, I just did'nt expect the question.
I woke up on the wrong side of the bed today.

I must say you have all did a nice job of being politically correct LOL. The truth is every time I visit the site i want to :doh: :doh: :doh: then I want to :sniper: Thats why in the two years I have been a member I only have 2 posts.

I have dabbled in the BST area but there are to many scammers on there. Every time I list something for sale I get at least 10 emails from scammers. But thats just my opinion.

Werd.. I get sooo frustrated by some of the stupid people on there.. and it just makes me wanna rip my hair out.. I'm not sure if I was banned there or not, I actually dont think so, but I probably should have been..lol.. I went off on the "Official" smart tech thread when I saw a Supercharged smartech.. I'm sure ya guys can imagine..lol
 
Personally, I just think it's too "busy". I signed on only because I enjoy ripping that kurtf5 joker, but I did check out some of the forums for poops and giggles and the site literally made my eyes hurt! It's like they are trying to jam a bunch of crap together!

Some of the posts seems to come from folks who know what they're talking about, though, so it's not like everyone there is an idiot, but they do tend to get more "pie in the sky" posts and responses than here!

The biggest knock I have on them is that they have not banned that bonehead kurt yet! Man, that guy is just stupid all day!
 
It's a good place to unload T-maxx parts....:D
or a supercharged or NOS'd TRX 2.5....
Lot's of members there....some good ones that know their stuff, but they get drowned out by the 1000s of idiots......or if they do know anything they act like a RC god and they can know no wrong......
