u better, NC - u live less than 2 hours away, and the bash is for 4 days.

I'll be there, I'll be there.

Now that we have a date in place I started to look at ticket prices. Seems to be decent I guess. Around $200ish round trip. Only problem is that I can't get a flight that is non-stop. Everyone that I have found so far has at least one stop. Maybe that will be the case no matter what.

I was talking to a local buddy about this and he said that he might be able to come. If that is the case we might tag-team the driving. He is currently in college so we will have to see how his classes play out for the winter semester.

MCvickj - 90% of all flights will have a layover. just deal with it. keep in mind, that to drive will cost u more in gas than a plane ticket. figure 1800 miles each way averaging 350 miles per tank, thats 10 tanks, plus 1 for orlando driving. 11 tanks of gas at about 1.60 a gallon equals more than an airline ticket round trip. plus - all the wear n tear on your car. i strongly recommend u fly.

Yeah most likely I will. I need to look into how much it is gonna cost me to ship my RC stuff. I really don't think I want to deal with the fuss of trying to get it on board. I would like to hear from the others that are planning on flying and how they plan on getting their stuff to FL.

although i joked about it at length - bringing my RC stuff onboard wasn't that bad. i had an butthead at orlando give me some crap - but everywhere else, it went off without a hitch

This is the official date of the Winter Bash!

My apologies to skymaxx for being unable to attend. close race though.
Looks like Error and I will be the dynamic duo. He'll drive and I'll break, sounds like a match...

Hmmm. If you're talking about driving from here to Fl, we might need a mobile expresso machine.

I was thinking more of after we get there.

For the trip, you drive, I sleep (hey, I need to save all of my energy to break things once we get there). :D

........anyway. :jade:

But yeah, you're probably right about the after we're there thing.

LOL. If not I am sure I could get you one and ship it to you. I pass 2 on the way to work. I could pass 3 if I take the long way to work. :)

Right on! Cheers to a caffine brother! And if you down 2 of those on the way to work, I'd get an insurance policy on those kidneys.

just an update for everyone - the new ONROAD track i put pictures of in my gallery is going to be holding a race on Jan 10-11. Not sure if anyone would be interested in attending this or not.

I have already spoken with the owner of the dirt track, and he said we can rent it out any day we want, as long as we give him at least 45 days notice.

So i ask everyone - what day do u want to rent out the offroad track? I cannot afford to rent it out more than one day.

Thurs, Fri, Sat, or Sun? I was thinking Friday.

Also - anyone else have any ideas for a schedule during the rest of the bash? Does anyone want to do something specific while here in Orlando?

Finally - Did we decide that we were all going as a group to Universal's Islands Of Adventure? If so, lemmi know, so i can get a FL Resident group rate for the tickets.

I would prefer Saturday. I work on Fridays and would not be able to make it up on Friday. I will gladly contribute to the cost of the rental though, btw how much is it per day to rent the track?
