RCNT Winter Bash '04

Well, its the final morning of the bash. Imbroken and Wilsoncat had to get packed, as they are leaving at 11am today. Mcvickj, me, NCnitro, and two others - racerx and jscamry - are gonna do some more bashing till about lunchtime. We all went to Universal studio's citywalk last night. It was COLD!!!!! I mean really cold. Like 45 degrees!!!!! Walked over to hardrock, got some t shirts, then went to Jimmy Buffet's resturant. It was an hour and a half wait so we decided to goto another REAL nice resturant called the "Latin Quarter". Great food, nice atmosphere. Great time. Had several drinks, got back about 11pm. Oh, and I humped a giant Gorrilla. See the pics. More pics and vids to follow soon!
 
Well, just got home to a crisp 18 degrees.... Had a great time...
The track was unbelievable.... Definately a buggy killer though. Lots of real hard packed earth to tear up the R/C's.... As soon as I get settled, I'll be uploading some pics & making up the video...

Imbroken- Did anyone jump the T-maxx. If so, what type of damage if any? So I know what to expect.

did anyone jump a TMAXX???? Wait till you see Imbroken and NCNitro's tmaxx jumping pics. Huge Air!!!!! No damage ever occurred when they landed properly. However, cartwheels at 30mph into 2 x 4's did cause some damage. Imbroken actually broke the "unbreakable" RPM A Arms. Two of them!!!!! Also broke a couple titanium turnbuckles. Thats about it if i am correct. OH! and imbroken SHATTERed his gas tank. pics of that willbe up soon.
 
Yea I just saw the video....u guy's look like you had a great time on the track. Bashing on there was not for the faint of heart. Damm that was was some hard dirt....LOL

Hell yeah we jumped the maxxes! My Maxx was my only truck that came home with no damage.

Thats a MEAN track though, it's an rc killer. All I can say is bring parts! LOL. When are you coming down?
 
Good morning guys. I arrived backed in Michigan about 10:30 last night. I got home, had a bite to eat, and zonked right out.

The flight back to Michigan was great. NA dropped me off to the airport about 2 hours early. I decided to try to bring my Storm engine and fuel tank and bottle aboard this flight so I didn't have to ship it. So since all of this was packed I made sure to wait at the baggage check point just to see if they were going to throw a fit. As expected the luggage that was holding the RC's was flagged. The screener opened this top compartment that was holding a book. He flipped thru it, stuffed it back in the bag and told me I was all set. They never even opened up the main compartment to check what was inside. It took me about 25 minutes to go from the check-in counter to sitting at my terminal waiting for the plane.

I have today off so once I start to get everything unpacked I will start working on getting some more pictures up.

Thanks to NA for letting me crash at his place and driving me around. I had a great time in Orlando.
 
Damn that was fast...

Well, back to work. Has a great time in Orlando. Much thanks to NA for everything (especially helping with the storm). It was nice to meet all of you (NA, NCNitro & wife, mcvickj) and hope we can do it again. Hey mcvickj, I owe you a battery box as I forgot to give it back after the bash. I'll contact you privately to work something out. Unfortunately, I was a bit ill on Saturday night but still enjoyed my time at City Walk. Good times.

Then, I awoke this morning to 3" of snow.

I hate snow.
 
well - this is my first day back at work in almost 3 weeks. What a shocker, lol. The bash was just great. Everyone seemed to really like each other, and we all got along great. The bash sessions were long and brutal - i dont think anyone got away without breaking anything...except........the cheapest buggy on the market. One of the members from RCU came too with his Ofna LX Pro. Drove that thing as hard as the rest of us with no damage. Amazing. There was also another guy there on saturday for a while that was running an MBX5 with a Rossi Maranello engine. Thing was amazing. He got into a drag race with NCNitro i think on the back straight and both of them forgot to brake and shot over the bank into the woods. that was a sight! I was able to get another great deal at the hobby shop and bought a whole 2nd EB4-S2 kit to use as spares. So, now, my buggy is being tore down and alot of bearings, pieces are being upgraded and others are being replaced and cleaned. Everyone at the bash got to see the awesome power of my new RB Engine - and NCNitro is getting a Kanai III as soon as some remodeling work is done. I am a witness, his wife did indeed state that it was okay for him to get one! lol.

I'll be down from April 9th til the 16th. I'm bringing my Maxx and MTX-3 to take on NA's reflex.
 
WOW! Way to go, Mcvickj! BTW - Moderators! The east coast bash has its own gallery, can we make one for this bash and the west coast bash too?

I know everyones waiting for it, so here's a quick budget video from the 2nd day of the bash. I'm handing over all the tapes to wilsoncat for final editing... There is plenty more footage of NitroAddict, Mcvickj & wilsoncat getting big air, NCNitro & I jumping the MT's & other horsin around.... This is just a quick taste... More to come.....

Yeah...that thing almost took off my head. I was using the viewfinder on the camera, not the screen. I looked up at the last minute to see the bottom of that T-Maxx coming at me. I've got some decent ideas for the video.

Hand that bitch over!!! :)
