RC Driving Style
Is anyone recieving any RCNT email today? Sometime during the night I stopped getting the reply notifications and direct emails via the public emails in my profile.
 
I dont know if you still wanted to know if we were getting the reply notifications, but I am still getting them.
 
They are spotty to me. Some I'm getting, some I am not.

I lost track of most of my threads, and a missed a few PM notices and mails as well.
 
Thanks, that's exactly what I'm trying to find out.

My email comes thru a private host which is running spamassassin. RCNT isn't on my blacklist, and no rcnt email is getting to me at all (inbox or spam box). This happened last night sometime. Ed is having the same trouble. I'm trying to figure out what's going on.

I think last week there was a news story about Microsoft, Yahoo, Exctite and AOL filing a suit against a large number of spammers. I talked to my Dad today and he said that his hotmail account along with a couple spammed Cox accounts have stopped recieving spam, since last night. I'm starting to wonder if there's some filter between the rcnt server and my email server.

I've received a LOT of bounced emails today, all from people that are stating they are not getting their email notifications. I'm working on finding out why now.

this is happening to me now whats up.not only that two days ago my comuputer locked up and i lost every thing. ihad to reload xp.do we have a hacker?.

I have a sneakin suspecion that it has something to do with a crackdown on spam. Unfortunately, RCNT may be on some list (and wrongly so) that says that this site is a source of spam.

We are currently investigating all possibilities.
 
i hope rcnt isnt on the list .i lost all my pics and muisic files.for the last two weeks.don;t know but it sucks bad
 
No RCNT is not on any spam lists - or at least not that I know of. However the problem has been found is a fix is being worked on now.

is this going to fix the problem. when i go to view new posts. it does't show any new posts even though it showes 3 or 4 new posts.

Unfortunately the problem you're experiencing in regards to "new posts" is not related to the email problem.

The "new posts" problem is not a problem at all, in fact what your seeing is correct, but looks incorrect to you. There are a few other private forums for the RCNT Staff only, those still count as new posts, but of course non-staff members can see them, thus the reason why none are showing up for you.

YUP no email's today for me at all. Usually have like 40 mail's from RCNT. No worries if it doesn't get fixed although I got mail's from other message boards.
 
So this is defintealy not an ISP/mail provider filter problem? If so, I can get the filters changed on my mail provider.

Just to let you know WoodiE if it helps out. Anything adressed to my domain comes to me. Even if RCNT is muffing the prefix on my address, I should be recieving it. That might help narrow it down?

Example "[email protected]" will be forwarded to my account.

NM I re-read, looks like you've found the issue.
 
Ok setting should take 2-3 days to update, until then no emails for you just hundreds of bounced emails for me.

LOL thanks woodie, found over a hundred email's in my box. It's good to have them back. Thanks again.
