IMO the triple rate is a gimmick. I've bought two sets of them (second set purchased after the first set got trashed when I bent my shocks). I think you are better off experimenting with different shock springs and oils. Or try the proline powerstoke shocks for a true multi rate shock set-up.

any links on the powerstroke shocks? never heard of them and would like to know more about them!

oh shoot, I saw those exact same shocks in the hobby shop I go to, but I did not pay close attention as I have seen them before getting my savage, anyhow, thanks for the info, when ever I have the time to go to the LHS I will look it up there and see if its worth getting.

Thanks!

so the tripples are bad?? I've only heard a few people that had them but they all said good things about it.. the concept is there.. dunno if the physical action is there though

The small coils are too small to be really effective on anything off road, the large coils don't soak up the big bumps like they are supposed to. I used to think they were good until I drove on more varied terrain. On a lighter truck they might prove to be more useful.

The above info is great.....
If you want to go to multi rate springs, make them yourself. You can choose the spring weights you want for your driving conditions and the length of each spring weight to get dialed in for your driving style.

Beason, you have a PM.

I have a set you can have so you can try them out if you want them.

I've got triple rate springs from full force on my savage and personally like them. They work alot better on a threaded shock body where you can adjust the preload on them, much like a dirt bike/atv. I've driven a t-maxx with the powerstroke shocks and I like em'!
