I was thinking of getting one once I sell my NTC3 and get some money from my birthday (Feb. 10) :buggy1:. Anyways, any opinions/suggestions/tips/etc. about it?

try and go for the rpm front bumper, a screw kit would also be a good thing(cheap kit screws killed me). you will most definatly be wanting a new charger though. thats the number one thing in my opinion. the 10 hour charger takes SOO long. otherwise its great the way it is.

I think the BIGGEST flaw in all the 18 series is the drag link. I would look into researching the Driven Pro Drag link. I have two on order but are BACKORDERED. I would also consider going Factory Team since you get all the links you would want after.

Alright, I'll get that too. I would go Factory Team, but I'm too eager to start racing it in my dirt backyard. Also, I don't want to spend more for the radio and engine.

Shop around and get the FT. If you can wait buy the FT. Motors cost about 40 ish. A decent Radio can last for many other rides. I plan on going Brushless with my 18B and T.Just have to be patient.

Hmm, I think I can just buy another receiver so my MX-3 works with both, and I can buy a motor for 40-ish. I do like building too. I'll think about it. Receivers have gone up so much though.

scoby is your MX-3 AM or FM?
If it's AM I can hook you up with an RX
I can save you a bit of cash on motor and ESC for the 18
I also have a Castle creations mamba BL setup if your interested in that route....
Jon's right though get the FT not the RTR if you are going to race it at all....the MiP superdiffs and CVDs are a must if you go BL

If you can't wait and want to get an RTR version, here's the link for the upgrades:

My 18t got this upgrade before it was run the first time. Once I got the first aluminum parts it was like eating potato chips. I just had to keep adding parts until there is nothing original left.

Yeah I'll just get the FT.

Plaid - On the crystal it says FM, does that mean mine is FM?

yes sir it does...I know futaba RXs won't work with Airtronics but JR stuff might....I know this question has been answered in the forum...I'll see if I can find it later when I'm home.....I do have pretty much everything you'll need except a servo/battery(might even have a battery) if you're interested....hit me up when you're looking to buy stuff....I guarantee I'll have the best price for you....
