As I expected it didn't take me long to strip the servo in my rc18 so I'm looking for a replacement.

I'm not sure of the size or torque requirements of 1/18, but I imagine it's pretty generic, correct?

Is a metal gear the right way to go for micro?

What servo do you use for your RC18?
The info will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I would like for this to be a direct replacement or limited modifying required.

Hitec has a couple options... The numbers escape me at the moment, but the are direct, or near-direct, dropins. You might need an alternate servo horn for it.

Thank both of you, I added that to the order to be made soon.

Thanks again!

i use the Hitec HS-65HB which is a Great servo that is kind of like really good plastic. not like stock, I'm not sure what they call it, but its got great torque and is really quick compared to stock.

the HS-65MG is the same torque, and speed, but it cost almost twice as much.

the HS-65HB is a great servo that can be perchased cheaply and will last you a while. I'm glad i got one in my RC18
