i am looking to purchase an rc10gt2 and hav a couple questions. first off this will be my 1st nitro and hav no knowledge about them. i am goin to be running on the grass street and a little dirt track at my lhs. i would like to get info on the runtimes and how many runs i will get out of a gallon of nitro. i would also like to know a few mods to improve the life of the truck. thx in advance for all the info

Out of the box, you shouldn't need many mods. The GT2 is a very capable truck. I have one of the original GT's, and love it. It was my first nitro, and it remains as one of my favorites to drive.

The answer to your question about how many tanks you'd get per gallon is a tricky one. If you do some math, the stock gas tank is only 82CC's (wow, smaller than I thought). If you divide the 82cc's into a gallon (3785.4CC's), you can get approximately 46.16 tank fulls.

Runtimes, based on that size of a fuel tank, should be around 6 minutes, give-or-take, with the stock .15 engine. The original RC10GT has a 175CC tank, and with a moderate race-pace on a track, I've gotten 10 minute runtimes, easily (with an OS TZ.12).

All in all, the RC10GT2 is a good looking first truck. Lots of potential for racing and mild bashing.
