I have a nice rc10gt and I want to know if anyone knows and trick to start it, with no starter box. see I had one and well it went up in smoke :flamer: and I don't have the money to get a new one right now jobs are not good here so if you could help it would be greatly thanked:w00t:12

That's the only other option you have besides a roto start, get a pull start. You'll have to buy a new back plate though to be able to use the pull start. Pull starts are awsome, no need for battery life, all you need to have is a fully charged GLow iginter and strong fingers. If you motor isn't tuned properly, expect some blisters from pulling on the pull start so much  Other than that the Pull start is AWSOME.

odie - just making sure i understand the question. U currently have a non-pullstart engine, and your starterbox is broke? If this is correct - then u will still be better off getting another starter box, as the cost of converting the engine to a pullstart will be almost as much. u can't just 'put a pull starter on it' - u need to install a rear crank and one way bearing as well, plus, usually a different back plte for the crankcase. by the time u get done, u are up to about 80.00 and u can easily get a new box for that or less.

Yeah I figured as much but I just wanted to know if there was a temp thing I could do like a rubber wheel on a drill or something like that. It’s been sitting on the bench looking at me for 3 months now. Getting the itch if you know what I mean
odie:hehe: :hehe:

I have a simple 12V starter with a rubber wheel that i place against the flywheel under my car. Its not as easy as with a starter box, but it works and i got it free :)

well if the motors are burned out in the box, u can replace those (most elec car motors bolt right up)
