hey


I'm in need of a part, and the part that should work, from the NTC3,wont


what I'm looking for is the adapter that comes off of the engine, has the flywheel nut on it, holds the flywheel to the threaded shaft and the clutch bell and clutch use the rest of the adapter.



any idea on a specific rc10gt adapter?

anyone have a spare?

Man when I was looking for this part for my ntc3 it was next to impossible to find.

You guys need to learn to search, I took the part# that Heartbreak gave and stuck it into google...Gave me plenty of online shops to buy it, I chose A Main because they have good prices and there cs is second to none!
 
But see my thing is I have 6 rc shops with in 40 minutes of my house but its just tracking the part down or in my case go to hobbypeople and tell them to track it down for me and call me when its in.

can you measure the shaft from in front of the nut to the tip of the shaft for me? i just want to make sure its shorter then the NTC3 version, which is my problem, the NTC3 adapter is too long.

Smaxxin found the right one. The one for the tc3 has the bolt on the end hold the clutch bell on, the GT has the c-clip hold it on, and is shorter.
 
alrighty cool, I'm takin your guy's word on it

i have 3 actual Hobby shops, only bother with the one 15 minutes away, the other 2 are 5-10 minutes away.


but also.

omni models is 15 min away, so order's come the same day and sometimes the day after
tower hobbies is located her ein my town, same for hobbico, horizon hobby, great planes, advantage hobby.
 
The term is pilot shaft.

It is an adaptor for threaded cranks that need need the SG style crank. For the NTC3 the crank has to be cut a certain amount and the pilot shaft is placed over it. For the RC10Gt I am not sure how big the difference is to the NTC3.

MIP 4n1 is what I run. Hands down the best setup. You'll need a two pin flywheel for it. I'd recommend the MIP Heavyweight flywheel. It lets you set a slightly lower idle.
 
yea, i bought that clutch set up. the spring..well i have no idea. i think i had an emergency use for it once, for a bash session on my os .18tm beater engine on my revo.

so i have no spring.


can i just buy the rc10gt MIP spring?
 
I don't think you can buy the spring by itself; you'll probably have to buy the entire shoe kit.
 
alright, thats no problem. nuthing wrong with spare shoes.


anyways.

whats everyone running for the collet?


i've tried 2, and both allow the MIP flywheel to spin, even with the pilot shaft cranked down.
 
I run the stock associated collet - seems to work fine for my engine. However, I put a couple shims behind it, so it pushes the front of the collet flush with the 'reduction' in the crank shaft. This will enable the flywheel to be locked down tighter.
 
^did that and it works now^


new problem..


truck was running fine for about 3 minutes, did some fast passes, and then it went to nuthing.

engine just revs, spur and Cb spin.

tore the tranny aprt, no messed up gears or anything.

took the rear diff apart, everything looked fine, re assembled it, tightened the crap out of it. took it back out. same thing. slipper is as tight as it will get.
