what can i do to my rc10gt to get it to own kmy dads 3.3 jato i know its possible because the rc10 is sooo much lighter

When you start to put more power into the 1/10 they start to get a bit hard to control. My Nitro Sport with the 2.5 converstion doesn't even drive straight. Its either sideways or doing a wheelie. Your RC10GT has the SB engine I'm guessing? A .12-.18 or so? If you put a nice OS or Picco into it that would help alot. More info about the setup of your RC10GT will help us figure out some stuff that will help you out.

The biggest difference is that the Jato 3.3 has a 2 speed tranny. That mated with the 3.3 (.20) is just hard to beat. Drop in a igger size mill and I think you will have sommething more to show but the weight distribution on the RC10GT is just too light for it to handle the power.

its got a megatech .16 thats pretty old school but i think its on its last leg so what best to drop in oh and

have you guys ever seen a motor with a shaft that goes inside the crank to catch the berring??

Not quite sure what you mean... Do you mean you have a shaft that screws down to a threaded crank?

That part would be a PILOT SHAFT. Click on the link below and look at the top drawing.

LMK if this works.

Drop an OS 18 CV-RX in it. I just did in my evader and I have seen how your dad's evader runs, and it will leave it in its dust. Your car is even lighter then mine so it will book with that engine. Oh and there only 100 right now.

Weight is not really the advantage/disadvantage here. You can strap a .32 on it, but without control is is usless.
You want to "own" him, go to the local track and leave him behind. The GT is a race truck. NOT a drag truck. Speed is nothing w/o control.

yeah wat would have to be done to mate up a .21 or comparable size mill to it

Again, not sure why you would want to do this. A single speed ST is not really the place for a mill that big. A member on here has on, search it and you will find out. the extra wieght if the .21+ will throw off the chassis, and handling will suffer. A race .12 is more than enough for these trucks.

Like I said before, if you want to "beat" him, take him to a track and blow him away.I had a Rustler with a 2.5TRX(.15) and it was FAST. BUT I took it to the track, and it was hard to control in "confined" space. Sure I could catch up a little on the straightaway, but on the rest of the track it was usless(all the power).

ok slightly off subject, think a HPI nitro MT with a 18SS outlaw and a 2 speed would beat a jato 3.3? I know right now mine flies with a single speed 17T clutch bell, but i haven't watched a jato run in person yet.
