Hi guys,

I have an older RC10GT (about 1998-9) that has the now discontinued tub chassis. Would there be any advantage in buying the upgrade Here? I can see some obvious advangages like shedding of debris and such but it seems to me the tub chassis would be stronger.

Any thoughts?

Thanks!
Brian J

Do you plan on racing? Or bashing? If you plan to race then yes....pick up the upgrade. If not then the tub will be a bit tougher to destroy when ya go bashing.

Just bashing....I'm revitilazing the old girl and was looking to upgrade anything and everything that's worth it. So far the chassis is the only thing I've found that doesn't 'need' upgraded, is that possible? ;)

Thanks for the help!

I dont know if it is worth the money because if you dont race then there isnt really a point to it......Nick

Well I'm not technically going to upgrade "everything", but I do plan on upgrading most of the parts. I'm only doing a little at a time so I'm not worried about cost (vs buying a new truck).

Thanks all!!

if the chasis upgrade will make it tougher then i would definantly do it. I would also buy an rb engine for it I have one and mine hauls ass with a .12

That was kinda the point of my question...IS it tougher. I didn't think it was and seems others agree, so I doubt I'll get it.

I have and am cuerrently rebuilding an OS .12 cv that I bought new with the truck. I really wanted to get a .15 but decided to rebuild the .12 and try my hand at some simple porting. That way I can keep the motor I love and still manage to get more power out of it. Besides, it's rather cheap to rebuild.

u can also get an ultra chassis from new era models that wiill allow .21 to.26 has clutchbell with it ,that chassis also gives u option of a bigger fuel tank also. its a double decker.cost $144 i think
