First of I have a 96 dodge cummins with a 12v. With a 47re Trans. The truck has 112,XXX miles on it.

Well I went to go haul a laod of steel for the boss, with the 26ft flatbed gooseneck. Iv been having issue's with my trans, tourqe converter not locking up and it was shifting really hard. Well once I got the trailer loaded, I went to head out and got down a few streets wasn't shifting good at all and taking of the starts it was just having a hard time. Came to one stop light went to go and nothing! My trans is toast, smoke coming from it, just not good. Huge price for a new one. Not to metion iv been needing injecter's for some time now to. My day just went to crap, rc is on hold for some time. I just can't belive this.

Yea, common problem with Dodge trucks. Even the Chargers can't hold transmissions.

so why, if you knew the trans was acting up, did you load thousands of pounds worth of steel up and plan on towing it?

Did you think stressing it would magically fix it?

Well tourqe converter didnt worry me because I was planing on getting a new on with injecter's but the hard shifting seemed to be commen with that transmission. My trans had been rebuilt once befor, but that was befor i owned the truck. And dodge rebuilt it. So I'm thinking thats the link to where everything went wrong today.

In the end, Yes it was dumb to do that but I'm going to fix it right this time. Since I'm a dealer for ats diesel I'm going to put the stage 6 trans packedge in it. And I'm thinking head studs with stage 2 75+hp injectors.

Sure it doesn't say Blur on it? :) you ragged me a little bit, had to get you back. sorry for your luck man but as already said thats extremely common and it probably wont be the last time it happens. hope you can get it taken care of somehow...

Oh no worries guys rag all you want I'm a cool sport, If i dish it out I'm more then willing to take it lol its only fair. And it put a smile on my face bgbdwlf.

Yeah Its ganna get fixed soon but its going to be a nice price tag. give me some time and i will add it up with my cost and I will show you guys.

That sucks bro. Thats the main thing I'm always expecting to drop on my 7.3...Wish I had the coin to just do a ATS, BTS or suncoast setup now and be done with it.

Yeah i know what they cost. Had a Suncoast stage 5 in my truck and thats when the 5 was the best they had... 5300 bux

And it was def a joke, it isnt fast enough to say Blur on it :p

Here are the parts I need, hopefully to prevent this again for some time.

Stage 6 transmission
- ATS Built 47-RE Automatic Transmission
- ATS Five Star Viskus Clutch Drive Torque Converter
- ATS Extra Deep Transmission Pan
- ATS Billet Input Shaft
- ATS Commander Torque Converter Lock-Up Controller
- ATS Billet Flex Plate
- ATS Billet Intermediate Shaft
- ATS Billet Output Shaft

Stage 2 injector’s 75+hp
Head Studs
• Handles boost pressures above 50 PSI
• Great for moderate performance and towing applications
• No machining, drilling or tapping
• Prevents head lift
Total price looks to be $8140.61

The price is cheaper because I'm an ats dealer, so I can also help other's as well if you ever need anything.

Um Yeah Not sure about the boss helping, Knowing him he will considering I do most of the hauling. But he did haul the load, and then came back an picked up my truck and its now sitting on the flat bed.

I hate seeing numbers like that need to be paid all at once... ouch

i got 40k out of the SC before it started slipping again. I never detuned it though (250 rwhp tune over stock) and i pulled trailers and drag raced it.

I have seen a 2000 Dodge truck shell the transmission with 263 miles on the truck. The whole tranny was replace and it went again 2k miles later. One year later guess what? Yeah tranny again. This was with all highway driving. He did the smart thing and got rid of the truck under the vehicle lemon law.

The tranny in my 7.3 is beginning to slip a little under load, It was replaced 110k miles ago but I guess thats what happens when your stuck hauling a bobcat back and forth almost everyday.

i did this on a 2001 dak v-6. drain/pump all the trans fulid out . pump in half atf, half rear end grease.

Well I dont think mine falls under the lemon law, with 112,xxx and it only being rebuilt once and now replaced.

Yeah, but this will be a good chance for me to start getting my credit up. loan is ganna pay for this one.

Yeah when you start putting hp power to them nothing last to long.

This is not my truck in the video, But my truck looks and sounds the same. I dont know what pipe he has on his but i have a magnaflow 4inch down to 5inch strait pipe with 6 inch tip. The only difference I can see are the wheels and tires, I have the stock wheels.

Talking to my boss, who is my best freinds dad today about what where ganna do, I get to skip school today and go haul a load with daddy's duramax and then when thats over where ganna sit down and figger out what to do.

Shame on you for driving it knowing it had an issue that you knew needed to be addressed. And then you try pulling a heavy load with it? Wow.... Is there anyone around you that someone here can contact to slap ya upside the head?

And how can you afford a compound turbo set up if you can't even afford the price of maintenance of an r/c vehicle plus a daily driver?

No I have budget that i can't go over with rc, which alows me to drive my truck. I got a loan for 8200 bucks just an hour ago and if my boss helps pay for some of it then i might be able to put it on. I never said i was getting it for sure. I said if I do this is what i will get. And life is hard some times and things get throughin at you, and yesterday it happend to be my trans, Iv been exspeting this because Iv felt the trans has never been strong since day one.

And currently I have 180bucks in my RC speding acount, and I'm not really likin my slash all that much so if i sell it then yeah i can get a flux.
