Does anybody have some advice on how to set up an RB 086 pipe on a Savage? After looking at the pipe I realized that the outlet nozzle going to the tank rubs right against the chassis, it seems like it should be shifted over some. And there's no place to attach the the end of the pipe onto the chassis either. Are there any extra mounting parts that are needed?

Can you post a picture of your problem? It should clear the Savage without any problems.

It clears the truck fine, I guess my question is how does the front of the muffler attach to the truck body? Like the stock muffler, for instance, attches via a screw that's attached to the body. Is there a clip or pin that I need to attach it to the truck?

Here is what I did:
I turned the pipe so that the stinger is pointed almost straight down. That placed the pressure nipple on the pipe into a cutout in the TVP. Then I took a piece of wire I had laying around(airplane pushrod) and put a loop on one end. Then I put a bend in the other end so that it lined up with the mountig hole in the pipe. I used a screw to attach the looped end to the stock pipe hanger. And I used the other end to attach the pipe.

Thanks. I'll prpbably get some wire and do like you described. It's weird how they made that pipe. You'd think that the pipe would be designed so that when mounted the outlet pressure nozzle would sit on top of the pipe, while the exhaust tip points straight down. It almost seems like it's a left handed pipe for a right handed truck

It just depends on what kind of car you're running it on. Some cars and trucks have the exhaust pipe being mounted on the left side and not on the right side like the Savage.

I got it together this weekend and ran it, man that's a smooth running pipe. ON big jumps though I'm having problems with the pipe slipping out of the rubber coupler. Zip-tied it as best as I could but the big air made it slip out. What do you recommend? Is there a better coupler out there for this pipe?

get the one piece pipe. it's held together by 3 springs and it allows for a more secure seal.

one piece pipe? what I have is the stock header, stock rubber coupler and the rb 086 pipe. I've got two zip ties wrapped around the muffler end of the coupler and the original zip-tie around the header end. Is there a separate header piece that I should get to attach to the muffler? Please elaborate.
