Hello people I need some help. I have a RB 23 engine that will not run right. I think it may be something with the carburator or it may have an air leak. For the most part the engine is new. Now I am having a hard time trying to send my engine for warranty service. So please help me

Where do I send the RB .23 engine for warranty service?
What kind of warranty does that engine have?
Also I can use any comments you may have.
Is there an aftermarket carburator which will work on it?

rb's do tend to have a few carb porblems regarding leaks i found that once i sealed mine it ran very well also look into the type of glowplugs you run and visit your LHS they should come up with all the answer you want regarding warranty etc.

monkey wrench did some searching & pointed him in the right direction for him to be able to help himself. he comes back on a couple days later just posting ttt,
not saying he tryed the site mw posted & had no luck or anything of the kind

so what are we supposed to do? spend our time & do ALL the research for him

it may have been harsh, but the original poster is coming across as not wanting to try to help himself at all & seems to want someone else to do all the work

Mikee, with only 11 posts you want to come here and start jumping on members that have been here a long time, and have helped a great many people. Your post was out of line! MW did try and help him, and it does appear he wants someone to hold his hand, take him to the post office, pay for postage, and just do everything for him. MW gave him a link to RB and even told him he would need to go through a US dealer and that there was a list of them on RB's site. So what is your problem? If someone does not want to help themselves, then what do you expect us to do? Don't come here with a holier than thou attitude, we don't need it.

Loyal Fan

I have been a loyal fan of Nitrotalk for a while. I know that this is the one website that would always have an answer for any rc related question. I put nitrotalk above everyone else.

I did not mean to cause or stir up or any commotion. It has been my experience with nitrotalk that the more members see your posting the more comments and advice you will receive. That was the only reason why i did the "ttt". It was not to insult anyone.

As a matter of fact, I did everything which monkeywrench posted, i went to the website, i contacted the dealer, and i contacted my LHS. I just wanted to see if anyone else had additional comments on this engine. And yes, my "tttt" did generate some additional comments.

On the engine, Rb warranty sucks. I can not send it into the dealer because i got the engine on a revo in a trade without a receipt for the engine. My LHS said they will see what they can do. So yes I could use some additional advice on the engine.

As for the comments, they were un-neccasary, but it has been my experience that when someone relies to a negative comment, it gives that particular comment life......a life of its own.......so i ignored it in hopes of being able to pool all avalible members and find out what works best for RB's 23 engine.

Thanks everyone and please continue with your comments

louis, next time rather than just putting ttt and nothing else, state what you just stated above, that could have avoided all of this. That will also bump the thread back up for others to see, and it will also show that you are trying to help yourself as well. But when you type nothing more than ttt, it gives all of us the impression you want us to do all your leg work for you. I hope you can get it all worked out.

Exactly what problems are you haveing with the engine? Explain the symptoms and mabye we can lead you in the right direction.

A. I don't even own an RB engine, yet I had enough common sense to find their website. There's a great tool on the web called GOOGLE! I could've been a real prick and simply told him to search it on Google, but I took the time to find the link, read it, post the link and share that you have to go through a dealer.

B. If you feel I used child like comments, give me a call and I'll share a whole bag full more! Let me ask, what was your great contribution to the man's problem?

C. I never made the claim that I know everything, so before you go jumping down my throat with your "holier-than-thou" attitude, why don't you show what you know? The only contribution I've seen from you on this is cracking off some wise-ass remark without reading the thread.

You're absolutely right, which is precisely why I posted the "click three times" post! There was no ambiguity intended, no interpretation required.

air leaks

where can i read up on how to solve air leak problems. the there a website or a posting which goes into detail about air leaks and how to fix them?
