i have a nitro rustler and everything was working fine yesterday. today I took it out and I can only go a couple of feet around me if I try to go any further I have no control????

check your batteries in both the truck and the tx. also check your antenna wire to see if there are any kinks or breaks in the wire. what type of system are you using 2.4 or or a crystal system?

I have a 2 channel crystal system my receiver batteries are fully charged and my controller isn't blinking telling me the batteries are low

take the sheath off the antenna wire and look for any cuts or kinks, even the smallest cut in the wire can affect reception. try a new set of batteries in your controller just to eliminate that as the problem. another thing you can check is make sure all your plugs are seated well in the receiver, and that no wires are pinched when you close the cover.

turns out I have little slit where the wire is exposed and possible broke (hard to tell) about 5 inches away from the end.....can I fix this or is this non repairable?

haha never thought I would really need to use my soldering gun so never bought a new tip for it...lol guess I'm screwed till I can go pick one up

for a short term fix, you could twist the wire together and run some tape over it. or use a small wire splice. but in the long run, soldering is the way to fix it right.
