:(. As the title says, I'm having problems with my radio frequency. The truck turns by itself while I'm only engaging the throttle, some times it's fine and it won't turn by itself and other times it will turn sporadically. I had an unfortunate event happen two days ago, I was running it around on the street when it turned right into a car and broke these parts:

In addition to the radio problems, what parts am I supposed to replace from the photos?

Thanks for any replies!

No pictures shown, is your radio 2.4gzh or 27mzh?

if its a AM 27mhz I would upgrade to a 2.4ghz and never worry again. Also, a dieing rx pack or batteries in your TX will cause your rigs to do silly things, especially if its AM freq.

It is a 27mhz. The batteries in the controller are brand new. How much would the 2.4ghz receiver cost me?

I'll post the pictures again, they show up for me.

EDIT: I found this receiver + transmitter off ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=220926270518.

What do you guys think about the Traxxas 2.4ghz transmitters?

The first set showed for me. Looks as though you need a new set of bulkheads and a set of A-arms IMO I would go with RPM A-arms (Guaranteed for life against breakage). And a set of aluminum bulkheads like GH or another mfr not named Integy.

Alright, awesome. I'll go ahead and buy those A-Arms right now. What's a good site for buying parts?

Traxxas FM radios have been good to me so far. Dont get me wrong there are better and greater radios, but IMO any FM system is better than AM. Also Traxxas has a trade in program for old/broken engines and electronics. check out the link:

and yes to RPM arms and bulkheads.

Thanks guys, I bought the parts earlier. I paid around $12 for the RPM A-Arms, $7 for the bulkheads, and $46 for the 2.4 ghz transmitter + receiver. I hope programming the TQ system isn't too hard.

3 Solid upgrades to start with! If you run in the city the original am radio will pick up alot of interferance causing your truck to have a mind of its own. The upgrade to the 2.4 will all but eliminate that. Just curious what kind of bulkheads did you buy?

I bought the replacement bulkheads. I don't have 40 dollars to spend on aluminum bullheads right now. I'll do that next time it breaks. The FLM bulkheads looks really nice.

TQ 2.4ghz system came in today. As I was installing the receiver I noticed the antenna on my old 27mhz receiver was ripped, it was literally split in two. So I figured out why it was turning sporadically. I'm going to try the 2.4ghz tomorrow, hopefully its as good as they say it is.

As for the A-Arms they were kind of a b** to install lol. The long screw that goes through the Bulkheads/A-Arms was hard to put in, there was a lot of resistance getting it to screw.
