I need some help. I've noticed the last few times at the track, on the straight, the Revo's front end raises up making it more susceptible to losing control when it hits a bump. I put the arms all the way out to lower it. I put 55w oil in the shocks and stiffer springs in the back. I also put the Response tires on it for more grab. What else can I do?

Do you have a wing on your revo?, If so, then try changing the pitch, that may help you out a little bit. Do you have the extended wheel base control arms?, If you dou have them, try moving the rear wheels back a little. That may help keep some weight towards the front of the truck.

I don't have the wing and I don't know what the extended wheel base control arms are???

It's it because of the suspension, or because of the power pulling the front end up. If it's the power, you could try the center diff and that should take care of it.

definetly invest in a good wing mount and wing. it will help keep the truck planted on those strights. Center diff and the rear brake will also help.

Revos drag their butts around the track, that's downside to all that suspension travel.
My set-up for medium traction clay tracks.
P2 rockers with pushrod spacers in, pushrods in the middle hole on the suspension arms. I tried the lower position but was scrubbing speed literally.
Rear extended arms at the 19mm poition.
2 degrees toe in,3 degrees neg. camber in rear.
Silver sway bar set loose with gold springs in rear, 60 wt. oil.
1.5 degrees toe out, 2 degrees neg. camber in front.
Silver sway bar set loose with orange springs, 50 wt. oil.
And the biggie, NO center diff. I don't own one yet, but my truck goes where I want it to no problems as is.
With this setup I could drive any line I wanted on the track, the front end never completely came off the ground. High speed stabilty was good due to the 2 degrees neg. toe-in in the rear. This is pretty close to how the Platinum comes setup.

Scrogg knows his Revos, and that setup that he mentioned is VERY close to what I am going to be running on my Revo project, so I'm really glad to see that it works out so well.

i just order the sway bar kit that comes off the platinum revo. so that should help if you got one.

also i jsut got a question on how to know your camber settings?
it always seems like there not matched from left to right. is there something you have to buy to get it right? or do you do it by eye. i know from working on 1:1 cars, especially race cars, ALIGNMENT IS EVERYTHING! i sure I'm not the only one with this problem so I'm not trying to hijack this thread.

just thought this information could be useful to anyone racing a revo!

RPM camber gauge and a setup station. The camber gauge is cheap. Setup station is expensive.
My bud made a setup station out of plexiglass that we use to setup our rides with. Ghetto looking, not 100% perfect, but it works. My truck always tracks straight and handles like it should.
Alignment makes all the difference! Trying to set the toe/camber by line of sight and measuring the rods resulted in being off target by 4-5 degrees!
Oh yeah almost forgot, the Proline LPR series tires in 1/2" offset... The final nail in the coffin. I get all my setup info from the Traxxas Pit Pass forum.

great thanks alot. i got a true track rear end so I'm set there. but ill see if i can get one of those stations on e bay for cheap
