Hey guys,
I'm looking between the xtm 247 pro and the fantom 27. Whats your take on it? I need a cheap fast motor that its good for the track easy to tune, and will be a roto start compatible??? (I've done my fair share of yankin, I'm stayin rot start, lol)

Which one will pull my savage at a track??

Savage 25
X-Cellerator
soon to have a revo( more for my dad to drive)

Xtm 24.7 gladly accepts roto start w/ no modifications. Great engine, Easy to tune. Quick. Cheap Parts and Free LSN needles from XTM if needed.

Mach .26.These are very easy to tune, very powerfull and cheap, about $140.00.These engines have muscle and are very dependable, take care of it and it will last a long time as do most.I am also partial to sirio but a healthy price tag.Good luck with whatever you choose.RUSS

The XTM 24.7 Pro will be a very reliable mill. It is a torquey engine but doesn't have the highend the Fantom will.

I have a Wasp .28, which is basically the same as the Fantom. It is a very tight engine, and it provids insane torque and high end. I am running roto start on my Wasp right now, the engine is too high compression and eats pullstarters for break fast. All you will need is the roto start back plate for the S-25 (it will fit) and a S-25 one way bearing. The wasp/fantom's is bigger and will not work, you just need the HPI one. I would definetely suggest this engine over the XTM for racing.

Does the fantom have more bottom/ quicker?
All i hear is that it is faster on top, i want both!!!

My experience with my Wasp is that it has great torque, it pulls wheelies when in my savage, and has great highend power.

I am not positive if the two engines are identical, but if they aren"t they are very similar.

The XTM won't have the highend the fantom will though.

Usean 18V cordless drill w/ the Rotofart shaft, set around 10 and you'll never use the worthless "Rotofart" again! My hi-compression REX.28,8 port wiped out two "Rotofarts"!
