Has anyone tried this 2 time ROAR national champ? The price has gone down so I'm considering it to be my first racing car. Looks like it has the same set-up as the MTX-4 (I maybe wrong).

Yup you are wrong. Its still a good car though. I have no regrets with it.

Given a choice which of the two would you buy? I can get any of this car but R40 parts are easier to find than Mugen MTX4.

I dont see how R40 parts are hard to get but mugen parts are becoming more available by the day. I am still racking up on spare parts as soon as they become available.

R40 parts are hard to come by over by my LHS and a few others. Mugen parts are getting better for the MTX-4.

Remy, by the time you get all the parts you "need" you'll have a serious investment. Sl0eg1n and I get around this by buying another kit and never put it together. This way we have everything necessary. You've seen our serpent box at the track. Every part is there and we're never ass out when there is a need for a part we never thought we would need.

That makes perfect sence but I just dotn have the 460 to drop on another car right now. I will just do it this way. Buy a part here and there. In a few months I will have all I need. I would have prabably spent more than I should but this hobby is expensive lol.

just do what i did for my xray. i bought all the parts i needed for the season at one shot because i knew the parts availability was going to be scarce once the season started. whenever i break a piece i replace it immediately to keep the inventory level.
