Does anyone make this part #72074 in titanium ?
I've broken two in the last three days... at least nothing else is breaking :)

Another question is, which part of the car is it installed in that keeps breaking. If it is the front, are you running a diff or front oneway?

you might want to check if all parts are ok where the dogbone would install in, there might be some serious binding issues

Pic shows whre it's breaking... both times...
It's breaking in the front, both times... I'm running a diff with 50,000
Eveything around the dog-bone is fine... no binding, everything smooth...
What I'm amazed is that a metal part is breaking and not some plastic piece...

The outter side... the axle side... I also need to mention that it's breaking
when I'm hitting the tire wall... It's not breaking on it's own... I didn't know if
I made that clear...

Same thing happened to me a couple days ago. Broke in the same spot after I crashed into a parked car's tire. I guess it's to be expected for being a crappy driver.

I've heard of this problem before. I've broken two front knuckles but I've yet to break a universal. I think the solution is to stop crashing :)

I was thinking that it was breaking from running without any hits. If it's happening during a hit, you must be hitting pretty hard. First thing I would do is check the track width. If it is too tight, there will be no give and the bone will just break. There should be some play in the dogbone but not too much that when you turn, the bone will be vaunerable to becoming dislodged. The track width should be measured from the outter edge of each tire and be 200mm.

I think your right....... who am I kidding, I know your right...The key to not breaking
anything is to stop crashing...ahhh, hell, if I found a titanium dog-bone I would end
up breaking a more expensive part...

I'll double check the with tonight... last time I measured it was 198mm
