You know MW... I was too. I hate to see an animal suffer, and although I do believe that some of the drive to keep him alive were the stud fees he would demand... but I do truly believe that his owners cared and did do all that they could. It is a shame.

Personally I don't see why they kept the damn thing alive so long. Once a horse of that type has a break of that kind they normally put him down either right there on the track or as soon as they get them off the track.

The horse would have never raced again and given the type of break even if they would have got it back to some kind of "normal" condition the horse would have never been able to breed. In that industry the horse now becomes a million dollar pet or in better terms worthless.

While I'm not one for animal suffering if you look at it in terms of the horse industry - this should have happened long ago.

Glue sticks anyone?
