Really sorry guys, Msly (brother in law) & I were asked Saturday night (last minute) to attend a suprise Birthday party for our Father in law... He was recently diagnosed with Bladder Cancer, & has been really Doom & Gloom this past week. I do see a roadtrip in the near future... Hopefully there wiill be another event that we can meet up with you guys... Sounds like everyone had a blast...

Hey guys! Yeah man Full on Full throttle backflips at top speed.. Nothing like seeing a savage fly through the air at 35-40 MPH upside down. It must have landed about 30 feet from the ramp on the last one. DAMN I HOPE SOMEONE GOT THAT ON VIDEO!!!!!
Anyways, I had a blast. If i didnt lose a rear shock from both sides during qualifying I'm sure I would have done better but I def need a new steering servo and the MP servo saver..... Next time. Muahhahahaha.

Hey guys, just checked in and there's all these posts! I'm glad you guys had a great time, even at my expense with the face full of a fireball. It's ok, I laughed after checking the eybrows. Imagine if I didn't have a hat on!?!
The kid hitting the pole was my brother. Bounced off the pole mid air and kept on running. He's a registered member here too (Sl0eg1n).
I have the tapes (3 full mini dv tapes!) to be downloaded and edited. I have to wait for Frank (Schumacher 21) to get me the extra videocam he has so I can transfer and edit. There's a lot of footage out there. Mark has some movies on his digicam.
Once again guys, I am glad you had a great time. Team17, sorry for the delay on your heat and the early departure. That was because of the guy who dropped a flase dime on us with the parks department. Needless to say, he WON'T be a presence at anymore of our events or weekend meetings.
We run all during the week, as well as Saturdays and sundays. Everything is dependant on weather. For the next 2 weekends, we will not be running because of parks department schedules with the circus and REPAVING of the lot with fresh blacktop.
I will get the final video edit to you guys once it's finished.

EDIT: Ratzo, you will have a chance to take on my NTC3 in the future. I wish I had my Kyosho FW-04 (super10) ready in time so that I could 've run during the day. I think by the time the lot is back together, you'll have a good chance. Take your pick... NTC3, FW-04, or the soon to come Schumacher Fusion 21 that my wife is picking up for me for my birthday! That'll be 2 of us looking for enough room on the track to hit third gear (far cry from reality!). WOOOHOOOO! can't wait for that.
We will be having other events in the future. I'll keep all you guys posted. If you wanna run and make a trip to Queens just PM me or Mark. We'd be happy to have you guys again.

nice turn out guys, really nice
Perfect timing too. Last 3 laps of the final on-road heat and it started to rain. The race finished and the rain stopped. Go figure! BTW Robriguez had some PHENOMINAL BACKFLIPS! just went for it at the end of the 10 min Final main and went all out! would've hit some parked cars if the wind was juuuuuuuust right!

Don't look at me, I was standing there in AWE! I was counting laps for Robriguez. I even lifted my hands over my head on the first one not realizing that my waterbottle had no cap! It was a hot day, the cold water felt good anyway.
I can't tell you that i have not had a better time out there despite the few hiccups..(ROFLMAO)...RCNT and the QURC bunch acted like everyone knew each other for years....no whining, just alot of laughing, fun and comradarie.
Thanks to all the spouses, g/fs for joining us for the day. Made it for a real family type of outting.

Big, how did you view them...i have no problem (with that at least)...so when is the next "meeting" ? Do i have to start planning a road trip for us all ? LOL It is just start to hit me how much fun I had !!

Yeah i can't remember the last time i had that much fun running my RCs. There were times I got a bit bored waiting for the onroads to get the hell out the way (i think imma just run em over next time...if I can catch them..lol) but overall i had a blast. My GF even said shed be happy to join me on another trip out there.
I just want to thank all the QURC guys for hosting such a kewl get together and especially to the guy that "gave" me the new spur gear after I toased mine on the impromptu MT drag race. Without his generosity the backflips wouldnt have been possible. So, whoever you are...thank you. I'm sure the rest of the crowd there thanks you as well.

Robriguez, I didn't post the pics, Mark did! I just lifted the shirt (hahahaha). Either way, she's a good sport. She puts up with worse. As far as the spur gear, we do that a lot in the club. It's all give and take, no one just takes. Those that just keep taking get to take themselves home and play in back of their houses ALONE.
I'm glad you enjoyed your time out there. If you ever just want to come back and have a good time, we are out there every weekend (saturdays and sundays, weather permiting). Sometimes, if the weather is really nice, we play hookey during the weekdays or get in a late afternoon run since the days are longer now.
The lot will be closed memorial day weekend and the the following weekend (june 5-6) for the bigapple circus and something else. Feel free to come in. Just drop me a PM and I'll let Mark know. Sundays always has a bbq going. BTW, bring a car for your g/f to run. I'm giving my wife my NTC3 to use so she doesn't have to wait for me to hand it over. I just got hold of a Kyosho FW-04 (super10) so she'll also be able to run at the same time with me. I'd like to see the women race against each other! Better with 1/10 than with 1:1
