i wish hpi made that polished pipe in black like they do with the ribbed, i love an all black/ silver savage

but when i first bought mine it was purple so i have quite a few purple things

I wonder how much it would be to have it annodized to black? Or better yet, black chrome powder coating?

UMMM... don't they have powder like powder coating that you can do yourself, it was originally designed for the automotive industry for doing engine parts you just bake it on in the oven

well to compare pipes i had a cvec on my savy and beason has it now ,so you can ask him that pipe works good and is a lot quieter then a stock pipe by far they have a very unique sound all there own ,i got the ripple from him and i must say WOW is it ever loud your right you can't talk when it is near you lol
i bought a deflector yesterday to try and move the sound down more i will see once it quit flippin raining here in pa ,but i wanted the ripple so i will deal with it
were i run noone is around to disturb so oh well .i like it

Not to derail but since it was mentiond:

The Eastwood Company in PA sells the HotCoat home powdercoating system. Simple little gun you hook to your compressor. Choose from dozens of colors and have at it. Buy a small toaster over to use in your garage. You could coat just about any metal part of your Savy and have a custom look.
