CVEC, TSAIS pro, OS T2050 all all pipes that are much quieter than the stock ripple pipe. My favorite is the OS, it has a mean growl sound with my Collari.

that pipe is $125 (the os) but are the ones i picked still quieter?

I have to assume anything is quiter than the ripple pipe. That thing was the cause of many complaining neighbors when I had it!

The CVEC pipe is MUCH MUCH quieter, the dual chamber is a tad quieter than the ribbed but nothing even close to the CVEC. Go with the CVEC you won't be sorry.

i dont know if the paint thing will work or not.. the only thing you could do is get some of the header wrap they make for motorcycles and cars and stuff and wrap that around it. but it would suck to have to buy a whole role just to wrap 1 rc header.

Well sort of, I have just the pipe since the OS header does not clear the shocks, you need a J shaped header, I am using this one from THS

A little grinding of the bottom of the header if required since the pullstart housing gets in the way. Also the fuel pressure nipple is in a bad spot, so I plugged it and tapped a new location. The holes for the springs to secure the header and the pipe also do not line up so you will need to drill a few holes if you want to use springs. I have a new pipe mount so right now I don't need the three springs.

LOL That is a great idea! My Exhaust is looking just like that!

The nipple gets really crammed into the TVP and the exhaust outlet is jammed in the wrong direction, especially if you use the RCS cage which makes things really tight. But that's what we get for using a pipe that was designed for a buggy LOL. Here some pics of the pipe with new nipple location. You just need a button head 4mm screw to plug the hole and a dab of sealant. Now nothing is touching.
