Haven't tried the "real fire" stuff yet, but I thought the mottling technique (scrunched up plastic bag blotter) worked pretty good for a quick fire look. Had to share. This late-model is the first body I've painted in months. Sorry for wussing out on the comp.........

There wasn't anything quick about it though... took me about 8 hours. <G>

Glad you guys liked it. The other side didn't ..quite.. turn out as good. The flames drawn right-to-left (on the right side of the car) are kinda unnatural for a right-hander, and always a little harder to draw, at least for me. I think the part I enjoy most though, is the "puzzle" of laying out the design.

On this job here, I tried sketching with a dry-erase pen. Sketch, erase, sketch, erase. Wipes off quickly with your finger or towel. It actually worked very good. You just have to be careful not to slide it on the towel your working on, or you can lose your art! :hehe:

I have to come clean and post the other side that "didn't quite work"............ <G> oh well...
