RC Driving Style
on my savage ss when i get it started (with a pull start which i have just replaced the 1 way bearing)it run for a sec or too so i then rev it and the starter cord clicks back in just a little more and cut my motor
 
Are you saying your engine fires up then increases rpm and finally stops a few seconds later? If so I would look for a fuel flow problem.
 
Try putting a drop of oil in the one-way bearing. TIf it is dragging, it will spin the starter backward.
 
Sounds like the engine is too rich and is dieing. The pull start cord pullin back in is just an indicator of the mill firing backwards on the last putt.

I re-read the question, and I think error has hit the nail on the head with this one. Sounds like its too rich,
