Savage X 4.6 started running like it might be transmission or clutch problem motor rpms sound perfect truck is just moving very slow, spur gear looks perfect also. Did notice bolt had bagged off spur gear tightened up a lil but still no results. Everything around clutch area feels good and tight. Thanks for any help i'm a newbie.

Tighten down the slipper clutch all the way then back it off 1/4-1/2 turn.

Also take apart your spur gear and make sure nothIng is worn out , this happened to me before and the truck was doing same as urs

tried to redo slipper clutch bolt and its spinning freely

did you take the spur gear apart? not sure what it the correct name is but theres a lillte plate that connects to the transmission box and ur spur gear, as well as a pin (what u use on ur tire, make sure thats not missing) .... this happened to me before....mine was all worn out so the spur gear and the plate its connected to were spinning freely....let me know if this helped
