I took my T-Maxx(4908) out yesterday. While i was running it I stripped the spur gear. Luckily I had a new one that I had bought a while back. Since I had to pull the motor off anyway I gave it a good cleaning, anyway I noticed that the gear on my clutch bell was extreamly trashed. I think was due to the fact that I ran an Integy steel spur gear for awhile. Any way I decided to change the clutch bell. As I didn't have a spare one for the 4908 I used one from a 2.5 which has 19 teeth instead of 22. My question is what will this do to my acceleration, top speed etc. etc. ? I didn't get it put back together until about 2 A.M. It rained all day today and is supposed to rain tomorrow so I havent had a chance to run it yet.

Thanks for the info the clearance seems fine and we missed the rain today so I'm fixing to try her out here in a few.

With a 19 tooth its gonna be a screamer.Removing 3 from the bell is the same as adding 9 more teeth to the spurgear..If you have a tight track with small area or have steep hills to climb then youll be fine...If you have a large open area to use it its gonna wheelie from a dead stop alot and top out real quick and also may have a problem engaging second gear without a transmission adjustment......

You're right surgemaster she is a screamer! I had a hard time keeping the front end on the ground. I didn't have any issues with it hitting second gear it shifted just fine. I did have a lot of trouble getting it started, turns out when i put it back together I put the one way bearing in backwards. Oh well it was late and I was tired. The 19 tooth came off my buddy's 2.5 he gave it to me to work on but he needs a new motor his was toast. I'm waiting for him to send it off and get a new one haven't decided if I'm gonna give him back the clutchbell or not (lol).:D
