i've just got a quick question i just took my exhaust because there was some thing rattling in side it. It was the plastic bit which go's in the purple rubber bit at the end of the exhaust and i was wondering what it dose?

Which exhaust do you have, the black plastic or the aluminum ribbed?

i have the ribbed exhaust but the purple thing that holds the exhaust to the header has a plastic bit in it what dose it do?

The purple exhaust coupling connects the header to the exhaust and is secured by two zip ties. There shouldn't be any other pieces.

there's been a round hollow plastic bit which slots in ever snice i have brought the truck. is this piece ment to be in there with the plastic exhaust?

It's safe to remove it from the exhaust. I'm not sure why it was there in the first place but it was used to maintain the spacing between the pipe and header. I removed mine ages ago with no ill effects whatsoever.
