question about pipe

Hey guys, I got a new Savage 25, and am loving it. What I was wondering is which is a good aftermarket tuned aluminum pipe for this engine? Also if the stock pipe is a tuned composite pipe, would an aluminum tuned pipe be worth the money and would it make a difference in performance? As always any info is greatly appreciated

As with anything..."tuning" is all relative. When something is labeled as tuned, the first question you should ask is, for what? Different shaped pipes provide different performance enhancements. Is the composite pipe sufficient? Yes. I still have it on my Savage with a Hyper .21 8-port running through it. Are "tuned" pipes worth the extra money? Yes and no. Depends on what you are hoping for.

My tuned pipe is basically for looks. Bling bling chrome... I did notice a little bit of top end, but that's about it. Oh, and it's not as loud as the stock pipe. In any case, you may or may not see an improvement.
