does it act like a fail safe for just to monitor forward from reverse

if not a fail safe y does stop the throttle servo to move, the battery is full, when i overight the Opti Drive the servo works???

Do yourself a favor... lose the optidrive and buy a real failsafe.

The optidrive is not a failsafe, it acts as a failsafe by not allowing the servo to respond if it sees a weak battery, but in my own personal observance, the optidrive is not reliable. it helps to save the reverse gear in the transmission, but still not dependable. I stripped reverse in mine with the optidrive installed and functionable. I installed the venom failsafe. You can pick one up for less than $30.00, and you gain the peace of mind knowing that you have that insurance on your truck.

Once you gain enough confidence, go with the forward only kit or the center diff. You will not regret the gains associated with either mod.

It will do that if there is a problem with the communication between the TX and the RX. Other than that, maybe a faulty opti-drive. Ebay can fix that.
