I have a savage .25 that i've been upgrading with a lrp z.28 spec3, among other goodies, if and when the diffs go out can i use flux diffs, the bullet proof ones? or do i have to use the X diffs? I would really appreciate any input so i can start looking for a good deal on diffs. thanks mackdaddy66

hey thanks, I haven't tried this truck out yet, when i bought it, i started looking it over and planning my upgrades, I have more parts on the way, but I heard savage .25 trucks diffs aren't as strong as the X and XL and Flux, so depending on how things go I may upgrade the diffs before I get it out this spring. thanks again mackdaddy66

I know electric is better, or at least everyone says that. I remember the days when i was a boy and my father and me were running my COX BAJA BUG, well, to me, it's just that I love the nitro burners, allways will, and it's the same reason i love my 95 z28 6 speed even though alot of smaller engine cars are faster. to me it's gotta be nitro, allways will but i really appreciate the help on the diffs, cause i've heard the savage .25 stock diffs aren't that strong. and i'd like to put the flux diffs in anyway, don't guess my truck will blow-up from runnin flux parts. just kiddin thanks again mackdaddy66

I have the same mill in one of my Savage 25s and I put the savage x diffs in my truck after breaking the stockers. I would recomend putting in the extra heavy duty driveshafts also. Good luck with it if you need any other advice hit me up. I have multiple savages

I have upgraded it to the 17 mm hex hubs with dogbone kit from HPI, i wanted to do away with those pesky backwards thread axles the savage .25 came with. I've heard the diffs are weak in the savage .25 so i am gonna go ahead and buy a " just in case set" plus i'm planning on going to the beach on April 1st so i figure that will be a good test of my rigg so far. so Myrtle Beach look out for " THE BEAST" cause i am gonna have some fun and burn some nitro !
