Then why does it say Harley Davidson Motorcycles and not Harley Davidson bikes? And real bikers just say Harley and for that matter I guess the clubs like the Hell's Angles and the Outlaws should be called bike clubs and not motorcycle clubs I dare you to argue that with them. Lol

Now you're just getting technical.

Wait, what am I arguing about? I call the thing in my Slayer a motor, and I don't mean the one that starts it.

Yeah I call the thing in my savage a motor too! C'mon Rolex lighten up everybody is a little different. Besides dont most people call it an EZ start anyway

If anyone is looking for me, I'll be taking my motorcycle to the county courthouse to get new tags for my motorboat trailer.
By the way, I'll be doing that on the 2nd floor, in the Department of Motor Vehicles.:hehe:

What's really messed up is that putting a turbocharger on an engine technically makes it a turboshaft engine with a really complicated transmission.

HOW THE FU$# does the transmission have anything to do with the engine and turbo? or are you just being goofy?

The transmission, in that case, is the engine. Think about it, the cold side of the turbo is the compressor stage of the turbine, the hot side is the power stage, and the engine is the gearbox.

Yeah, it's a warped way of looking at it, but it's technically accurate from a certain point of view.

Hmm... wonder if I could put a turboshaft in my Slayer...

Time to change the subject to rocket engines...uh, I mean rocket motors...uh....

Does that count as an engine? I mean, if there's any compression it becomes a bomb, not a motor, engine, turbo, or transmission.

Maybe we should just go with "widget." Rocket widget. That's it. Hmm, wonder if my Tripoli card is still any good. I could strap an H class to the Slayer and hit ludicrous speed!

just catching up on this fascinating post. Seen this and almost fell out of my chair:hehe:

I'd prefer to play nicely by myself for a moment. Maybe I'll play nice with him later, after I figure out if I'm really black when all the lights are out... since technically I would not be white. Technically, I'm never white and neither is anyone else.. well, my wife is kinda close. but at least she's got a great ass and some nice jugs! :D

Walk into any hobby shop that deals with RC and ask to see what motors are available for on road cars. Maybe you have a nitro car, but you'll be taken to the showcase with electric motors. :p:
