RC Driving Style
allright, yesterday my girl went out and bought me a new NTC3 + RTR (she treats me so bad) i have never even touched a real rc before so i'm pretty much in the dark. i today signed up and read some threads for newbies and most of my instruction manuels and i'm pretty sure i've got the whole break in routine down as well as filter maintenance any other wise words for an rc virgin before i go hit the pavement running rich??

Welcome to the best R/C forum around.
Follow the break in procedure EXACTLY. The needles are factory preset to run on the rich side. Be patient. The proper breakin makes for a good running engine.
After it's broken in, you'll get any info you want here.

Yeah, come here for any question. Use the search function before you ask though, it might help, but if you can't find any answer just post and someone here will help you out as best as they can. And yes, be very patient. Once you get the hang of it you'll love it. RC is a very good hobby.

Later.

Just take your time and what ever you do, DON'T get pissed off if your engine won't start. That's what I did when I was an "rc virgin" and it didn't work out to well. Just ask for help before you get pissed.

Welcome to the bottomless pit. This is where all your extra money will be going.
Enjoy and have fun.
If you need help, we'll be here.
Welcome

just relax...breathe in, breathe out...you shouldn't be nervous that you're doing something wrong during break-in (like i was).

You'll eventually get the hang of everything. Tuning will be the hardest part but after that it'll be fun once you start wasting your extra money on it. This place has all the info you'll need about your RC. And there are usually always people on that are willing to help you out.

I dont know if the ntc3 comes with a fail safe but if it dosnt get one!!! It could save you TONS OF MONEY!!!

Welcom to RCNT, and the hobby. That fail safe is a good idea, as well as a rechargable receiver pack. Batteries will cost you a arm and a leg if you run much. Good luck, and feel free to post questions.
