First off, this is NOT a For sale thread. I am not selling anything, just trying to find people interested or already established in dog breeding.
I was recently bestowed with six amazing baby Pit-Bull pups. They are all pure bred and very stocky built. I am looking for anyone here who might have a little more information about the rearage/sale of these animals.
I am, of course interested in selling the pups, and I have been scouring the internet looking fro "Papers" for the animals, including the Dam and Sire. During my search I came across the startling realization that the "Papers" are really, in fact nothing special. These papers only serve to display the name of family from which a dog comes from. The only real association that registers and enacts the lineage reports on dogs is the AKC and they want some strict guidelines to be met before they will even accept a review/DNA testing. I know, personally that these dogs come from a good line. Both the mother and father are full blood and Their respective parents are the same. I can establish at least three generations by my account, but there is nothing there to prove it and now I have to wait for the parents of my current little to have another litter before I can submit the pups to the AKC for review.
Either way, These animals will still sell well without any kind of identifying documents and I would also like to know if anyone knows of a good venue to use for the sale. I was thinking of going to something like "Traders Village" here in Texas (for those of you who don't know it's this big outdoors mall thing) but then I figured that may not be the appropriate means to take. I would like to make the animals available to people all over, not just in my area. The newspaper only runs in one area and to take an ad out for several papers would be costly. I am even interested in possibly meeting any individual interested at any location- say if someone from out of state was interested I could arrange a point to meet them at to ease their drive.
I know I am going a little bonkers here, but I really think these animals are worth the effort and upkeep in the end. I would also definitely like to get some tips about how to keep up that "pit-bull" look, the real stock, muscle bound and lean appearance. Food and nutrition plays a big part I am sure and I want to get them on a good diet ASAP.
Thanks for reading this long post guys, I hope someone out there can point me in the right direction on this.
PS: Pups are as follows.
1: Male, Brendel with Black spots.
2: Male, Brendel with orange and black spots. heay color to eye area.
3: Female, White with very few small black spots on nose and ears
4: Female, White with large black spot on left eye.
5: Male, White with very few black markings, almost indiscernible.
6: Female, White with very few black spots.
As you can see, most of the pups are almost pure white. they all have very few black spots on them and from what I have been told this is a very admirable trait in a pit-bull, along with their disposition. Anyone know about the color traits?
