What kind of string do u guys use in ur .21 engins? I got the motiv to put my buggy back together after letting it sit for a month... so what do u guys use and does it last long?

Convert it to a bump start unless it can already be started by a bump start like the Storm ... according to Nitromaniac and other strom owners

I dont wanna sink anothjer 100 bucks into it to havto buy a bump starter.. I just wanna get all my cars back together so they dont break when I try to get them runnin in the spring...

Good point. Taking that into consideration, I just came from my LHS and they don't sell just the cord. They even don't recomend attempting ot change only the cord since there is a spring in there that will pop out and is relatively hard to return. They said to just buy the whole unit. It doesn't cost that much. Sorry, I forgot to ask for the price.

for the pullstart assembly on my car its about 20 bucks for the whole thing. I've broken mine 3 times and the first 2 i just fixed it. the string broke at the end so i just tied a new knot and put stuff togeather. yes there is a coil spring and it is a pain but it can be done. when my pullstart broke the 3rd time i just started using a cordless drill to start my engine.

Most quality LHS have pull start cords sold separately. I have replaced a few cords, and it can be tricky. That does not mean it is impossible. I field repair my pull starts in order to keep running, and it definitely takes patience.

Ask them for the TRAXXAS part #3277. Costs $1.50 or less.

Other than that...bumpstart is the next best option.
