Remove the head of the engine. Remember to look at which way the sleeve is inserted and write it down to make sure you put the new one in right if you rebuild. Look for the mark on the sleeve top. Take a flat head screw driver and pry it up. That will give the piston move room to move and then you can disconnect it from this crank shaft.
Use something like a toothbrush handle (firm plastic) through the exhaust port to push the sleeve up and out after heating the block in the oven or with a heat gun (I'm not sure a hair dryer would throw enough heat). Use an oven mitt, of course, to hold the heated block.
This has worked for me in the past without damaging any metal parts. If you accidently slip typically nothing will be scratched or broken.
