Puller truck help?

Unfortunately, no video's yet (maybe after next weekend, when we'll be having our next pull)

The bad news is that I killed the engine on the schoolbus. On the starterbox it would scream like a pig, but once on the track the engine would die. On inspection we found out that the fuel-filter was clogged up. So our first conclusion is that the engine probably ran very lean while breaking it in and that's what's caused the premature failure. Luckyly I have all the necessary replacement-parts in stock, so I'll just rebuild it and see how it goes next weekend.

The good news is that we started the dual Wankel (rotary) engine yesterday and it ran beyond expectations! The sound isn't like anything I've ever heard before. Some of the bystanders compared it with the sound of an onroad motorcycle or a sportscar!
The throttle response is really "snappy" and it guzzles fuel like there's no tomorrow!

After some running in, I carefully tried to move the sled, but unfortunately, the clutch slipped, so I'll do some adjusting and try again next weekend.

You do incredible work Micropuller. I was wondering about how much do the sled you guys have to pull with your r/c rigs? I saw something a couple days ago on t.v and they said a 1:1 version sleb weighs about 37,000 puonds.

Micropuller, you should give yourself a big pat on the back.
You have tallent and a brain.
WTG, and very nice job.

That is some sweet rigs there Micropuller. To bad you didn't live in the US, cause I know most of the guys here would be up for a "road trip" and a "show n tell" for sure. Nice Job! Keep us up to date. And as Ratzo said... a big pat on the back for you from all of us here at RCNT. Thanks for letting us in on some interesting and talented part of the hobby.

Holy crap that thing sounds crazy! You need to make a video of that thing pulling something. Awsome job bro!!! You have incredable talent.

THAT is the sweetest sounding nitro ever. You should see if you can find a Mazda rx7 or rx8 shell to put on it. :worship:

We had another competition yesterday. After having made some changes to the gearing and the pipe, I finally got the ducted-fan on the Aces High to run like it should.

The rear-tires ballooned a bit more than I expected, that's why the body was thrown off (luckily there was no damage done) With the power this engine produces now, I have some good prospects for the future :devious:

Nice pic. Looks like you need to do some more cutting to that body.

BTW Do the tires ballooning help with the pulling?

Dude thats awesome, u reallyneed to get a vid of the thing actualy moving and pulling for us, but looked and sounded awesome

The beast withing it just seems to want to go lol

Now I have to say you mister have serious talent! This is one of the most impressive and well done projects I ever saw,and I saw a good few!

The original engine looks great, with the Wankel you are reaching for the sky.
Nice to see action pics.

Keep up the amazing work, keep us posted.
