I have a t-maxx that i will be converting into a puller soon but I am also wanting to custom(from scratch) build a 2 wheel drive pulling truck. Can anybody help me out with a good place to start? Any help will be apreciated!!

Maybe this will be helpfull.

Pics of my new nitro 2WD:

Here's some stats:
- Engine: 0.46 OS-max VXDF (ducted fan engine)
- HP: ca 2.5 @ 23000 RPM
- Wheelspeed: 85 KM/H
- Rear axle with seperate brakes for each wheel, controlled by a gyro.
- Custom built clutch, pipe, rims, front & rear axle, hitch etc.

How long did that take to build, and did you do all of your own machine work? Sweet looking rig!

Thanks for the kind words everyone!

@Karl M:
Yes, I did all the machining myself. Actually, designing / machining is as big a part of the hobby as actually driving these things.

Fabricating the parts for this puller took me somewhere inbetween 100 and 150 hours over a period of three or four months.

See? Now that's what this site needs. Someone who comes in and says he can pull stuff with his truck, AND actually shows us. Thanks Micropuller. That's one hella cool truck.

Thanks Candyman!

The body is currently being painted. I'll post some pics when it's finished.
I've actually started work on a new project. First result after fooling around with a couple of OS rotary engines:
