I need a truck for the top truck challenge so i started looking at scx's. I decided that since i already have wheely king axles, several 2.2 wheel and tire combo's along with just about everything else i need. I didn't need to buy a full scx kit just to throw away the shocks, body, wheels and tires etc.
SO, i picked up a new scx chassis and axial tranny from rpp.

Here are the plans so far.
SCX chassis
Axial Tranny
Wheely king axles with hardened ring and pinion gear sets. Rear has a hot racing lockout with BEEFY shafts
Sidewinder esc on 3S
stampede wheels with 2.2 mud slingers

I am still undecided on a motor, shocks and body.

LOL I knew you couldn't resist, this should be an interesting rig!

Why not keep the warrior.

Its gonna be sweet, i can promise you that. I was thinking about putting the warrior into the ax-10. I get pretty good wheelspeed and torque with it, but i am thinking about going a little off the deep end with the scaler. Nothing too hot but perhaps a velineon 3500. :whhooo:

This guy has the right idea. mine will be a little slower but not much

Easy princess, daddy is here. lol.

can't wait to see it...... what u want with a highlift?

haha, I really like the uber scaleness of the highlift and i think a 1.9 would be freakin sweet as well. Its just the $350-$400 price tag that kills me.

if ur really interested, we might be able to work somthing out for one of mine.

i really am. lets get to work. I can only offer my body as payment at this time as the new scx has tapped the current resources.

JK. pm, text or call me.

I got everything in to start the truck and i actually had a pretty lame night.

I sold the servo from my WK and since i decided to use the WK axles, i went ahead and disassembled the whole truck. Well i started lining things up and it looks like the axles just aren't going to work. I could shoehorn things in there but i really don't want to do that on my scaler. So i have a box full of wheely king parts instead of a full truck just in need of a servo. :( So right now i am looking at picking up a set of axial axles. I need to make custom length links to get the wheelbase right for 2.2's but i'm not sure what i want to use for that either.

ideas? opinions?
