Man! I installed my pullstart and ditched the E-Z start and it sucks. I have a blood filled blister already, I thought pull starts were better lol.

when i first put mine on i had no skin between my two fingers before i knew anything. i know your pain it hurt for a week lol.

Didn't you know that "pull starts" are for things you do not like to do, like mowers, weed eaters, and chainsaws..nice things in life work by only pushing of a button....if only our wives had a on/off button???:):celebrate3:

Well it hasn't been ran in 4 months, and the fuel was old and plus i can't give it throttle yet while starting becuase i have to use one hand for the starter, and one hand ot hold the easy start untill a get a regular ignitor.

I haven't run anything but pull starts except for 2 months after I got my Maxx -- but then I bought my Picco .26 and have used that PS ever since. I hated the EZ start with a passion but never got around to actually buying a PS.

Ya it just gets annoying making sure you have everything for it to run; it allways seemed to never work rite anways.

Eh after trying the EZ start I just couldn't justify charging a battery every 3 runs and carrying it around when I could just carry a (featherweight in comparison) glow ignitor.

Given the choice of EZ/Roto start or Pull Start, i would choose a pull starter EVERY time !!

Pull start is more reliable, less hassle, less to carry and less expensive "Cos Ya Don't Need To Charge It"

pull start's are great but to like them you need to run your engine regularly and have it in tune but also it helps if you stick with same fuel as well, yesterday I was trying to start my trx 2.5 on new fuel (Tornado 16%) and I had some troubles but I got it running...
small tip for all of you:
when you switching fuel to different make sure that you set your engine to factory settings and then tune it again otherwise you will have troubles.

Where have you been hiding ?? havent heard a peep out of you since that last PM bartek !! lol

What you been upto ?

Ya definently I like pull starts better now. Once I figured out how to get the stupid thing going I like them so much better no charging a stupid battery.:mario:

I've never had a pull start but the ez start i currently own is the reason i dont have as much fun with my truck as i should. I'm hoping the ps on my new motor will not be the same pain

pull start is not for me...I am old and lazy.I will charge the batts and pay the piper when it breaks or buy an old one off ebay.

Pull starts are a pain. I ruined a owb on my ez start a few weeks ago from cranking it over excessively. It was only about 45 out and I didn't preheat the engine. Figured it was time to see the guts of an ez start, anyways. It's real simple. Nobody has to be afraid to take it apart for maintenance. 3 engine screws; 4 for the tank; ball cup on carb and the exhaust bolt. And the ez plug. Then a hand full on the starter itself. It takes less than an hour to get it fixed and back together. I abused my ez start all winter. Using it to prime the engine; hot starts and such. If I have to take it apart every 3 months, so be it. Well worth it. I threw a 3000 in the wand so one charge should last me a day once the weather breaks. And if it doesn't, I'll have a spare.
