Real quick prolly easy question. My computer monitor has a HDMI port on it, can I use my ps3 on it? Do I just unhook the monitor from the computor?

You should be able to select inputs on the monitor so you should not even have to unhook it unless the computer is running to the hdmi. Just you would have to run sound separate.

Ok thanks, I'll give it a try.

Worst that can happen is it don't work right? I am using a 22" LCD tv as an extra monitor on my Laptop and a TV & hooked to a DVD player....lol. Have to go cheap when I am packing light ya know?

It shouldn't be a problem in running it that way I also have a 26 in. Monitor that I use for a PC monitor on the VGA connector and BluRay on the HDMI in. All I had to do was use an external speaker set for sound.

Yeap it works! wee hee

Whats a good ad on for cooling on these?

i dont bother with coolers. just leave the door open when you game if its in a cabinet. i've never had a problem with my ps3 and it gets really hot.

mine get hot also while in the cabinet I think they have a fan that you can plug right into the usb port and it get mounted on the ps3 somewhere, I seen it @ game store here in town..

Yeah I saw some on ebay for cheap. Couldnt hurt.

They tested all the cooler things on the 360 once, they all made the heat worse, and not better. Reason being, the fans inside the 360 were much larger and moved more air volume, the fans on all the coolers were much smaller and caused a bottleneck and made the issue worse. Just food for thought.
